Job Description
The State of Illinois is seeking a Mental Health Technician Trainee for a two-year period (6-12 months) to receive training and instruction in providing care for individuals with developmental disabilities. This role involves comprehensive training and ensures compliance with IDPH requirements. The position is unionized under the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Requirements
- Knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to physically restrain individuals as necessary.
- Ability to work after business hours, weekends, and holidays.
