Job Description
Positions in this job family are assigned responsibilities related to the construction, maintenance, repair or upkeep of buildings, grounds or other state property, requiring no license. This may include assisting in the construction or renovation of buildings, general maintenance and upkeep of plumbing, heating, air conditioning, electrical and other systems, minor repairs to machinery or other equipment, and general maintenance of grounds or lawns.
Requirements
- Conducts Maintenance and Repair (M&R) activities
- Conducts preventive maintenance activities
- Maintains equipment logs and construction plans
- Request work orders as needed
- Maintains and makes minor repairs to various types of heating, refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment
- Coordinates with users to schedule access
- Routine work orders and M&R will be completed within 30 calendar days
- Essential work orders will be completed within 7 days
- Emergency work orders will be completed within 24 hours
- Performs carpentry M&R work
- Replaces, maintains and repairs plumbing fixtures
- Replaces, maintains and repairs electrical items
