Dispatcher

Dispatchers are responsible for directing and monitoring daily assignments, scheduling drivers and bus assistants, and ensuring proper execution of driving assignments. They communicate relevant details to drivers, assist with routing directions, and respond to emergency calls. Dispatchers also maintain route documentation and records, handle customer concerns, and escalate unresolved issues to management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous dispatch experience is preferred
• Knowledge of surrounding geographic area
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers
• Ability to read and interpret documents
• Ability to operate two-way and emergency radio systems
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Program and computerized routing software
• Bi-lingual abilities a plus
