Dispatcher

The Dispatcher is responsible for directing and monitoring daily assignments, scheduling drivers and bus assistants, and ensuring daily coverage of all routes and field trips. They communicate with drivers, assist with routing directions, and respond to emergency calls. The Dispatcher must maintain accurate records and provide excellent customer service.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous dispatch experience is preferred
• Knowledge of surrounding geographic area
• Ability to organize and prioritize time
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to read and interpret documents
• Ability to operate two-way and emergency radio systems
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Program and computerized routing software
