Perform company-wide recruiting and new employee orientation and onboarding using effective and proven methods. Develop policy and direct and coordinate human resources activities, such as employment, compensation, labor relations, benefits, training, and employee services.
Requirements
- Create and implement effective and successful recruiting practices
- Develop and administer various human resources plans and procedures
- File EEO-1 and Affirmative Action reports annually
- Oversee compensation and benefits programs
- Monitor workers’ compensation claims
- Maintain current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, and applicable laws regarding Human Resources
- Develop and monitor human resource succession plans
- Arrange random employee drug testing and other employee testing or training
- Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation
- Maintain employee information in HRIS
- Plan, organize and control all activities in the HR Department
- Oversee the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law or local governing bodies
- Prepare reports and recommend procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover
- Write directives advising department managers of company policy regarding equal employment opportunities, compensation, and employee benefits
- Consult in-house legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with federal and state law
- Participate in resolving employee relations issues
- Instruct and interpret employee policies as presented in the Employee Handbook
- Represent organization at personnel related hearings and investigations
- Evaluate human relations and work-related problems and meet with supervisors and managers to determine effective remediation techniques
- Develop and conduct Human Resources training to instruct organization managers, supervisors, and workers in human relations skills
- Implement and update as needed performance evaluation program
