Transition Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking a Transition Manager to join our proposal for the United States House of Representatives. The Transition Manager will be responsible for managing complex IT projects, especially transitions, with a strong understanding of methodologies like PMBOK, Agile, and ITIL. The role requires a strong understanding of government contracts, IT systems, infrastructure, and services.

What You Will Do

The Transition Manager will be responsible for managing large-scale IT projects or contracts, preferably in a government or federal context. This includes project management expertise, contract knowledge, technical acumen, stakeholder management, risk mitigation, financial oversight, change management, team leadership, documentation and reporting, quality assurance, vendor coordination, and adaptability and problem-solving.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, Project Management Institute certification or equivalent certification, and 5 to 8 years’ experience in managing large-scale IT projects or contracts. The candidate should have strong communication skills, be able to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, and have experience in guiding organizational change during transitions.

Requirements

• 5 to 8 years’ experience in managing large-scale IT projects or contracts, preferably in a government or federal context
