Requirements

• Reports to the Manager, Oncology Center
• Conducts a nutrition assessment for all patients identified at nutritional risk
• Develops a nutrition plan of care
• Participates in multidisciplinary rounds
• Provides education to various departments on nutrition related topics
• Researches and develops programs for dietetic interns
• Participates in research projects and nutrition related programs
• Works with outside agencies in obtaining ongoing assistance for patients as appropriate
• Maintains hospital and departmental policies, procedures, objectives, process improvement
• Inventory and order office and tube feeding supplies
• Monitors and directs foodservice personnel
• Formulates special recipes or plans to meet the specific needs of patients
• Promotes guest relations and customer service
• Promotes the value of the DMC
