Job Description
The Comparative Medicine Program Research Animal Technicians I, II, III are responsible for husbandry duties for laboratory animals, sanitation of assigned animal holding rooms, and maintenance of assigned support areas. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalency
- six months of related experience in laboratory animal care
- Laboratory Animal Science Course
- one year of related experience in laboratory animal care
- two years of related experience in laboratory animal care
- Class “C” vehicle operator’s license
- Certification as American Association of Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician (ALAT)
