Manager, Development

The Development Manager is responsible for implementing signature fundraising events and supporting local third-party events for The ALS Association, a leading organization in ALS research and care. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent relationship-building skills, flexibility, and adaptability. The position involves implementing a comprehensive plan to meet income portfolio goals, recruiting and stewarding event committee chairs and members, and building strong relationships with community partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• A minimum of 2 years experience in fundraising, event management, volunteer development and management, public relations, donor cultivation and relations, corporate sponsor cultivation
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in a timely and effective manner to multiple constituencies
• Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality in working with sensitive, confidential records and information
