Obtain and verify patient information for proper patient care and reimbursement, analyze financial data, and maintain knowledge of insurance regulations. The Patient Access Coordinator will also collect and process patient payments, complete documentation, and communicate with patients and staff.
Requirements
- Analytical skills to analyze patient accounts and evaluate financial data
- Knowledge of current HMO/PPO/Medicaid/Medicare/commercial insurance regulations and requirements
- Working knowledge of insurance plans that the Christ Hospital participates in
- Effective communication skills to communicate with patients and staff
- Leadership skills to provide education and training/mentoring for other staff members
