Lawrenceville Summer Scholars In-Person Prefect

The Lawrenceville School seeks enthusiastic, energetic, collegial individuals who want to work with both adults and students in a collaborative and inclusive academic setting. The In-Person Prefect position requires full-time work during the 3-week duration of the program.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or a combination of education and experience
• A desire to serve students and to participate fully in an engaging academic community
• Strong time management skills and be able to complete tasks and meet deadlines
• Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to use clear, concise and grammatically correct written and oral language in all professional interactions with students, their families, peers, the leadership team and the larger community
• Tolerance for ambiguity and flexibility
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Able to remain calm in emergency situations
• CPR and first aid certification preferred
• Previous experience supervising children and young adults, preferably in a school or camp environment
• Prior residential supervision experience of children and/or young adults preferred
