Job Description
The New York Times is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their GraphQL platform team. This team is responsible for managing the platform’s development, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance, and contributing to the overall mission of providing high-quality journalism.
Requirements
- Develop new platform offerings
- Lead by example in GraphQL schema design and governance
- Contribute to platform's automation and developer tooling
- Support on-call, incident response, and troubleshooting
- Mentor team members
- Demonstrate understanding of journalistic independence and commitment to the mission
- Experience with Apollo GraphQL
