We're looking for an experienced Financial Controller to support a portfolio of SME clients across Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas. The role involves taking ownership of the finance function, providing commercial insight, and helping business owners make informed decisions.
Requirements
- Strong experience preparing management accounts and financial reporting
- Expertise in balance sheet reconciliations and month-end processes
- Proven experience in cashflow forecasting and profitability analysis
- Strong systems knowledge, particularly Xero
- A track record of implementing and improving financial controls and processes
- Commercial awareness with a proactive, business-focused mindset
- Experience supporting year-end processes and external accountants
- Advanced Excel skills including PivotTables, SUMIFs, and financial analysis
- Confidence presenting financial information to senior stakeholders and business owners
