Director of Finance

The Director of Finance will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, data entry, grant report entry, ministry reporting, board reporting, managing the organization’s fundraising functions, and budgeting. The Director of Finance will lead the annual audit process, coordinate with external auditors and the finance committee of the board of directors, and oversee all financial, project/program and grants accounting. The role also involves monitoring all fundraising and accounting systems and procedures, performing payroll and benefits administration, and preparing financial reports and assessments.

Requirements

• Minimum five (5) years experience working in a not-for-profit in a finance leadership role
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting or required field
• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is required
• Knowledge of government and funder agency structures, procedures and reporting
• Experience developing fundraising strategies, grant applications and project proposals is an asset
