Award-winning children's mental health organization seeking a Registered Social Worker (Mental Health) in East York, Ontario. The ideal candidate will have experience in infant, child, youth, or parenting counselling and psychotherapy, and a passion for helping families and children thrive.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or equivalent
- Registered in good standing with The Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers
- Certificate in Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health or equivalent (asset)
- Minimum 3 years experience in infant, child, youth or parenting counselling and psychotherapy
- In-depth knowledge/ understanding of the issues effecting the intersections of young women and their infants
- Experience performing advocacy work within a variety of systems such as child welfare, the legal system, housing, healthcare, etc.
- Experience working with racialized pregnant and parenting youth
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in infant and early childhood mental health and development
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft, Outlook, TREAT, or the navigation and use of client databases
