Support Worker

Support Worker will work with families facing homelessness, providing practical support, advocacy, and encouragement to regain stability and independence. This part-time position requires qualifications in social welfare or experience in homelessness or community services, strong communication skills, and a trauma-informed approach. The role involves assessing eligibility, providing case management support, and assisting families with housing applications and independent living skills.

Requirements

• Qualifications in social welfare or a related discipline
• Experience supporting people through crisis, trauma, or housing instability
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with families from diverse backgrounds
• Confidence working independently while contributing to a supportive team environment
• Organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload
• A trauma-informed, strengths-based, and person-centred approach
• A current WA Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel as required
