Support Worker position at The Salvation Army's Bridge House Sobering Up Unit in Highgate, WA, Australia. The role involves supporting participants under the influence of alcohol and other drugs, monitoring their wellbeing, and maintaining a safe environment.
Requirements
- Certificate IV in Community Services, AOD or Mental Health
- Understanding of AOD types, effects and withdrawal processes
- Current WA driver's licence
- Current First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work across a 24-hour roster including nights, weekends and public holidays
- Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Commitment to culturally safe, inclusive and person-centred practice
