The Salvation Army is seeking a Human Resources Administrator to administer day-to-day operations of the Human Resources office, interview and hire employees, prepare and maintain personnel records, and communicate and enforce personnel policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of Human Resources, Business Management, and Supervision
- Knowledge of labor laws and ability to interpret/enforce the same
- Ability to interview, screen and select qualified applicants to fill open positions
- Ability to organize, maintain, and secure personnel records in an effective manner
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff
- Ability to prepare payroll records and meet established deadlines
- Ability to read and interpret policies/procedures, legal documents, and requirements to ensure compliance
- Ability to work independently and with limited supervision
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with Salvation Army officers, employees, and the community
- Ability to meet attendance requirements
- Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language effectively
- Ability to apply discretion and independent judgment and exercise confidentiality
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations
- Ability to sort and file documents alphabetically and numerically
- Ability to operate various general office equipment including a telephone, computer, and adding machine
