Volunteer Coordinator

Recruits, enrolls, and trains volunteers for service projects within The Salvation Army; helps supervise volunteers; prepares and distributes letters to volunteers; collects, organizes, and maintains volunteer information; assists in the preparation of volunteer activity reports. Also assists in planning, scheduling, and assigning work of staff and volunteers; maintains contact with staff and volunteers throughout their services.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• One year experience recruiting people to perform work on a volunteer basis preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and work with limited supervision
• Ability to prepare accurate and complete records and reports
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with volunteers
