Mental Health Therapist

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Mental Health Therapist to join the Bipolar Disorder Center as part of an interdisciplinary team-based program that provides care for individuals with bipolar disorder at UT Health Austin and conducts research at Dell Medical School. The position will conduct behavioral and mental health assessments, treatment planning, brief interventions, evidence-based psychotherapy, coordination of care, and research-related activities in several studies funded by NIH, foundations, and industry partners.

Requirements

• Masters-level behavioral health clinicians or higher
• License to practice as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Psychologist (LP), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Three (3) years of post-degree clinical experience
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with various other health care professionals
• Excellent interpersonal skills; written and oral communication skills; organizational, planning, follow-up/follow-through, and time management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-provider practice environment
