The University of Vermont Health Network - Home Health & Hospice, formerly the Visiting Nurse Association of Chittenden and Grand Isle Counties, is a nonprofit home health and hospice agency serving Vermonters for more than 110 years. We care for 5,000 individuals and families each year. Our programs span lifetimes -- from prenatal care to care for young families to rehabilitation, long-term care, adult day services to end of life. We provide care one person, one family at a time. With support from our neighbors, UVM Health Network - Home Health & Hospice provides medically-necessary home and community-based care to individuals and families regardless of their ability to pay. Each year, we provide more than $1 million in charitable care to our neighbors in need.
New Graduate Nurse Residency Programs across health partners provide knowledge, skills, and critical behaviors needed to be successful in their new career. Newly graduated nurses will engage with experienced nurses, nurse educators, and subject matter experts in classes, hands on skills sessions, and precepted clinical experiences. Units hiring for the Summer/Fall 2026 cohort include Alice Hyde Medical Center, Central Vermont Medical Center, Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital, Elizabethtown Community Hospital, Home Health & Hospice, Porter Medical Center, and The University of Vermont Medical Center.
