We’re growing fast—and expanding our team! Reuters Events is scaling its Delegate Acquisition function and we’re hiring a Team Lead to build and lead a high-performing VIP acquisition and meetings team.
Requirements
- Recruit, onboard, and manage a small team of VIP/Senior Delegate Acquisition Reps across multiple concurrent events
- Coach reps on outbound prospecting, executive engagement, negotiation/value exchange, and CRM discipline
- Run weekly pipeline reviews and quality control
- Provide weekly reporting to Head of Delegate Sales on progress, risks, forecast VIP attendance, and actions needed
- Personally own VIP targets for assigned flagship events—sourcing, qualifying, and confirming Tier 1 C-level/senior decision-makers with real buying power and influence
- Pre-qualify VIPs against sponsor interest areas and themes; align profiles with sponsor objectives in collaboration with Sponsorship/Sales and Sponsor Success
- Lead the design and delivery of a structured 1:1 meetings programme (VIP meeting packages), from pre-event matching through on-site execution and post-event feedback
- Work cross-functionally with Event Ops and Sponsor Success to coordinate schedules, on-site introductions, and issue resolution in real time
- Capture and action post-event insights to improve targeting, matchmaking logic, retention, and sponsor renewals
- Provide weekly forecasts: expected VIP confirmations, badge/show risks, and mitigation plans (replacement pipeline, backup VIP list)
- Share market intelligence with event leadership (who is engaging, emerging themes, competitor signals, gaps in VIP coverage, underrepresented segments/regions)
