Job Description
Timken is seeking a Materials and Purchasing Manager to manage and provide a vision for key departments supporting the manufacturing process, including Production Planning, Logistics, and Inventory Control. This role focuses on material management, supply chain strategy, and ensuring accurate scheduling to meet customer demands. The manager will collaborate with plant leadership on capacity planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Provide leadership and direction to Materials Management associates
- Lead and partner with the leadership team to drive actions to reduce OTDp
- Develop inventory strategy including understanding accurate inventory levels
- Develop/implement policies and procedures that interpret discrete customer demands
- Interact with sales/marketing leadership and the customer to ensure scheduling commitments can be met
