Quality Engineer

Role Overview

We require a Quality Engineer to join our Quality team based at our site in Abercynon, South Wales. The purpose of the Quality Engineer role is to support the manufacturing teams in the creation of robust processes, including the generation of Control Plans, measurement standards, and the root cause analysis of non-conformances.

What You Will Do

Working with the manufacturing teams to ensure that processes have robust quality controls, PFMEA, documented control plans, and identifying opportunities for improvement. Monitoring performance trends in Connector Assembly and providing information on scrap, MRB status, and customer/supplier concerns.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of working as a Quality Technician or similar relevant function within a fast moving manufacturing environment.
• HNC or equivalent in relevant discipline
• Computer literate including the analysis of data in spreadsheets and databases and the generation of reports and presentations (Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access)
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience in conducting system and process audits
