The Dispatch Supervisor is responsible for dispatching trucks to convey freight to assigned destinations in a timely and efficient manner. The role involves tracking deliveries, determining driver assignments, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The Dispatch Supervisor also supports the Operations Manager and promotes safe driving habits.
Requirements
- One year of professional driving experience
- Two or more years of experience in the transportation industry
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and legal requirements for drivers
- Excellent communication, customer service, and organization skills
- Ability to be trained and safely use powered industrial trucks and high reach lifts
- Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently and occasionally lift up to 80 pounds
- Ability to exert a pushing force of up to 40 pounds
- Valid DOT Medical Card or the ability to obtain one
