Job Description
The Clinical Specialist (CS) is a licensed registered nurse who functions within the three spheres of influence; patient-nurse-system. The CS provides theory and evidence-based knowledge that shapes the practice and core competencies for the clinical nursing staff. The CS collaborates with the multidisciplinary team and functions in the healthcare system as a leader, consultant, and change agent.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Four (4) or more years of clinical experience in the specialty/patient population of the care area/unit/service line
- Two (2) or more years of experience in a unit leadership role (including Charge Nurse, Team Lead, Resource RN or RN IV-level at UAMS or similar leadership roles)
