Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant provides direct care to clinic patients and assists providers with exams, treatments, and procedures. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, one to two years of experience as a medical assistant, and medical assistant certification or CAN certification. The Medical Assistant must be able to work in a clinical setting, demonstrate clinical competencies, and provide excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Assists the provider with patients before, during and after visit while maintaining smooth patient flow.
• Greet Patients and instructs in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner.
• Prepare patient for examination, treatment and assists physician with exam/procedure when needed while applying the principles of aseptic technique and infection control.
