Job Description
The Assistant Director Facilities will assist in the management of personnel, maintenance functions, and construction projects for University Hospital. The role involves developing and maintaining relationships with hospital departments, managing quality assessment and performance improvement programs, and overseeing the maintenance and repair of hospital-related buildings and equipment. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, facility management, or a related field, and at least five years of experience in facilities operations, maintenance, and/or construction, preferably in a healthcare environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Facility Management or a related field
- Five (5) years or more of progressively responsible experience in facilities’ operations, maintenance, and/or construction
- Experience in preparing for and leading EOC surveys such as those conducted by the Joint Commission, Department of Health, CMS, and local authorities
- Demonstrated knowledge of a variety of trades such as Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Carpentry, etc.
- Ability to function in and support a team environment
- Valid driver’s license
