The University of Cincinnati Department of Geosciences invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Hydrogeophysics. The successful candidate will contribute to the department's strengths in geophysical imaging and modeling of coupled biological, chemical, and physical processes in the shallow subsurface.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Geosciences, Hydrogeology, or a closely related field
• Two years of experience in hydrogeophysics that combines field-based geophysical observations, computational modeling, and AI-driven analysis.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in hydrogeophysics and related fields
• Develop and maintain an externally funded research program in hydrogeophysics
• Conduct research using geophysical imaging and modeling to explore coupled biological, chemical, and physical processes in the shallow subsurface
• Recruit and mentor both graduate and undergraduate students in cutting-edge research
• Support the department's mission to provide hands-on, interdisciplinary training
• Serve on departmental, college, and university committees
• Engage in professional service activities within the discipline
