Job Description
Vanta is building a leading Identity Platform for enterprise customers, focusing on authentication and authorization frameworks. They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead technical direction, mentor a team, and scale the platform to meet growing demand. The role involves designing scalable systems, mentoring engineers, and contributing to the company's growing engineering culture. The team operates in a remote setting, based in Alberta, Ontario, and British Columbia.
Requirements
- 8 years of industry experience with backend development
- Strong knowledge of authentication protocols (OIDC, SAML, SSO) and identity federation concepts
- Experience building platform services that scale across multiple teams
- Strong data modeling skills for systems with complex relationships
- Experience solving distributed systems challenges
- Security-focused mindset and understanding of enterprise security practices
- Experience leading technical projects spanning months
