As a Senior Engineering Manager at Vanta, you'll lead two engineering teams and shape the future of how enterprise customers interact with their compliance data. You'll build and scale high-performing teams, drive execution on multiple strategic initiatives, and set technical direction for data products. You'll partner with cross-functional teams to define and push down compliance definitions across business units, creating a unified enterprise experience.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in a full-time engineering management role
- Proven experience managing 10-15+ engineers across multiple teams or product areas
- Managed 2+ distinct product areas or teams simultaneously
- Strong technical depth, ideally as a former senior or staff engineer
- Experience setting product and technical strategy in partnership with Product and Design teams
- Participated in developing or driving engineering-wide initiatives in a prior role
- Strong decision maker who effectively balances ambiguity, available data, speed, and quality
- Can influence cross-functional stakeholders and adjacent teams as an effective communicator and story-teller
