The EHS Specialist will analyze work environments and exercise independent judgment in the development, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs.
Requirements
- Conducts injury, incident, spill, and near-miss investigations
- Conducts periodic facility safety assessments and audits
- Oversees safety tag programs and internal EHS audits
- Schedules and facilitates sustainability tours
- Develops, implements, and continuously improves plant-level safety and environmental programs
- Tracks, analyzes, and reports EHS performance metrics and trends
- Leads waste reduction initiatives
- Designs and enhances plant-wide recycling and composting strategies
- Ensures safety and environmental training programs are compliant and effective
- Serves as a point of contact for employees regarding safety rules and regulatory requirements
- Oversees PPE and first aid program administration
- Oversees contractor safety compliance
- Coordinates and monitors updates to fire suppression systems and emergency equipment
