Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA)

VITAS Home Health Aides (HHA) provide personal care and services to hospice patients, assisting them with hygiene, meals, ambulation, and treatments, according to a written assignment. HHA's perform tasks as assigned, and may also assist with emotional support and documentation of patient needs. They are independent and report to a nurse.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred
• Measurable evidence of 75 hours of training as per 42 CFR Sections 484.36(a)(1) and 484.36(b)
• State Allowable Training/Certification
• Ability to travel per job requirements
• Valid Driver's License
