Job Description
VITAS Home Health Aides provide personal care and services to hospice patients, augmenting care given by family or caregivers. The position involves performing a range of personal care tasks, including hygiene, meal preparation, ambulation assistance, and managing patient conditions. Regular training and documentation are required.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Documented evidence of 75 hours of training
- State Allowable Training/Certification (AL, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, IN, MI, PA, TX, VA, WI, CA, CHHA)
- Physical ability to assist with lifting and transferring patients (20+ pounds), stand/walk for extended periods, and communicate effectively.
