Job Description
VITAS Home Health Aides (HHA) provide personal care and services to hospice patients to augment care provided by family members. Duties include maintaining hygiene, preparing meals, ambulating patients, assisting with treatments, monitoring vitals, and reporting changes. The position is full-time and requires adherence to specific policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Meets personnel qualifications (42 C.F.R. Section 484.4 & 484.36)
- 75 hours of training documented in 42 C.F.R. Sections 484.36 (a)(1)
- Competency Evaluation documented in 42 C.F.R. Section 484.36 (b)
