Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA)

VITAS Home Health Aide (HHA) provides personal care and services to hospice patients to augment care provided by family members. HHA assignments include performing home health tasks such as hygiene assistance, meal preparation, ambulation, medication assistance, and basic patient care. This role requires 75 hours of training annually and strong communication skills with the VITAS Nurse and interdisciplinary team.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Meets personnel qualifications as specified in 42 C.F.R. Section 484.4 and 484.36.
• Documented evidence of 75 hours of training.
• State Allowable Training/Certification.
