Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

The VITAS Home Health Aide is a non-exempt employee providing personal care to hospice patients. They assist patients with hygiene, meals, ambulation, and other care activities, supervised by a registered nurse. They perform tasks outlined in their assignment and will receive training and documentation through the system.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred
• ME meet personnel qualifications for a Home Health Aide as specified in 42 C.F.R. Section 484.4 and 484.36
• Documented evidence of 75 hours of training as specified in 42 C.F.R. Sections 484.36 (a)(1)
• Documented evidence of Home Health Aide successfully completing a Competency Evaluation program as described in 42 C.F.R. Section 484.36 (b)
