Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

VITAS Home Health Aide (HHA) provides personal care and services to hospice patients to augment care provided by family members or caregivers. These include hygiene assistance, meal preparation, ambulation support, treatment assistance (depending on assigned tasks), and monitoring patient conditions. The role involves recording vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, and maintaining a safe environment. VITAS emphasizes a people-focused, collaborative, and growth-oriented culture.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred
• 75 hours of training as specified in 42 C.F.R. Sections 484.36 and 484.36(a)(1)
• Competency Evaluation program completion
• State Let/Cert. of Authorized Training
• Ability to read, write, and carry out directions
• Valid Driver’s License (if required)
