Job Description
VITAS is seeking a Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide personal care and services to hospice patients. The role involves performing a variety of duties, including personal hygiene care, meal preparation, ambulation assistance, and other treatments as prescribed by the physician. HAs must be able to perform assigned tasks without being assigned to a hospital setting and report to the VITAS Nurse.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred
- Documented evidence of 75 hours of training as specified in 42 C.F.R. Sections 484.36 and 484.36(a)(1)
- Documented evidence of successfully completing a Competency Evaluation program
- State Allowable Training/Certification (AL, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, IN, MI, PA, TX, VA, WI, CA, CHHA)
