Home Health Aide (HHA)

The VITAS Home Health Aide (HHA) provides personal care and services to hospice patients to augment care from family members and caregivers. They perform a range of duties including hygiene, meal preparation, ambulation assistance, and patient monitoring. The role is full-time and involves working independently under the guidance of the nurse and interdisciplinary team.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred
• Meet personnel qualifications of Home Health Aide
• Medical Certificate or equivalent evidence of training
• Home Health Aide certificate
• AL, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, IN, MI, PA, TX, VA, WI
• Must have reading, writing, and the ability to work in accordance with direction
• Ability to travel (as applicable)
• Use telephone
