Home Health Aide (HHA)

The VITAS Home Health Aide (HHA) provides personal care and services to hospice patients to augment care by family members or other caregivers. This is a full-time, non-exempt position requiring adherence to a written assignment and performing core duties like hygiene assistance, meal preparation, and ambulation, supervised by a nurse. The role also includes training and documentation.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent
• 75 hours of training as specified in 42 C.F.R. Sections 484.36 (a)(1) and 484.36(b)
• State-recognized Professional Certifications (AL, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, IN, MI, PA, TX, VA, WI, CA, CHHA, CT, Homemaker-Home Health Aide, IL, HHA, NA, KS) - MUST comply with regulations for each state.
• Ability to travel and work in a fast-paced environment.
