Job Description
VITAS Home Health Aides provide personal care and services to hospice patients, augmenting care provided by family members or caregivers. The position involves performing specific tasks like hygiene, meal preparation, ambulation, and assisting with treatments, as well as recording patient data and following infection control protocols. The role is fully independent with direct reporting to the VITAS Nurse.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Meets personnel qualifications of a Home Health Aide
- Demonstrated experience in training
- Successful completion of a Competency Evaluation program
- State-allowable Training/Certification
