Job Description
VITAS Home Health Aides (HAs) provide personal care to hospice patients. HHA duties include home health assistance, including meal preparation, ambulation, and assisting with treatments. They require adhering to a written assignment and can also perform other tasks as assigned by the nurse. The position emphasizes commitment to professional growth and teamwork.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred
- Meets personnel qualifications of a Home Health Aide
- Documented evidence of 75 hours of training
- Documented evidence of successfully completing a competency evaluation program
- State Allowable Training/Certification
- Must be able to travel per job requirements
