Job Description
VITAS Home Health Aides are licensed individuals who provide personal care and services to hospice patients to augment care given by family members. The position involves performing specific care activities, such as maintaining hygiene, preparing meals, ambulating patients, assisting with treatments, and recording vital signs. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.
Requirements
- Home Health Aide (HHA) licenses and certifications (CNA, HHA, HA) are preferred.
- 75 hours of training completed (484.36 section), documented
- Competency Evaluation (484.36 section) completed.
- State Authorization to practice as a Home Health Aide (CA, CHHA, CT)
