Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) provides direct and skilled bedside nursing care to terminally ill patients in a VITAS program, in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. Responsibilities include administering treatments and medications, monitoring patient progress, and documenting care provided, while upholding a clean and safe environment and fostering patient participation in care planning. The position is full-time and requires the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of Practical/Vocational nursing.
• Currently licensed to practice nursing in the state where the VITAS program is located.
• At least one year of satisfactory nursing experience, at least one year of which is an LPN/LVN in a hospital on an adult medical surgical unit.
