Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) is responsible for administering nursing care to terminally ill patients, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act, and evaluating patient needs. This role involves providing skilled bedside nursing care, documentation, and maintaining a safe environment. The position supports patient and family in maintaining independence and facilitating their transition to comfort and well-being.

Requirements

• Must have and maintain transportation.
• Graduate of an approved school of Practical/Vocational nursing.
• Currently licensed to practice nursing in the state where the VITAS program is located.
• At least one year of satisfactory nursing experience, at least one year of which is an LPN/LVN in a hospital on an adult medical surgical unit.
