Job Description
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will administer nursing care according to the plan of care to terminally ill patients in a VITAS program. This role involves providing direct skilled bedside nursing care, patient assessment, medication administration, and documentation. The LPN will collaborate with a registered nurse and contribute to the multidisciplinary care team. They will also provide patient education and support throughout the disease process.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of Practical/Vocational nursing
- Currently licensed to practice nursing in the state where the VITAS program is located
- At least one year of satisfactory nursing experience
- LPN/LVN in a hospital on an adult medical surgical unit
