Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) will administer nursing care to terminally ill patients in a VITAS program, according to the Nurse Practice Act. Responsibilities include direct bedside nursing care, assessment, medication administration, patient monitoring, and reporting changes to the RN. The role also requires ensuring a clean and safe environment and maintaining accurate documentation.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of Practical/Vocational nursing.
• Currently licensed to practice nursing in the state where the VITAS program is located.
• At least one year of satisfactory nursing experience, at least one year an LPN/LVN in a hospital on an adult medical surgical unit.
