Job Description
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for administering nursing care to terminally ill patients in a VITAS facility, in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. This involves providing direct bedside nursing care, conducting assessments, managing patient/family communication, and ensuring a safe environment. The role requires teamwork and a commitment to professional growth.
Requirements
- Must have and maintain transportation
- Graduate of an approved school of Practical/Vocational nursing
- Currently licensed to practice nursing in the state where the VITAS program is located
- At least one year of satisfactory nursing experience
