Job Description
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides direct skilled nursing care to terminally ill patients in a VITAS program. Responsibilities include assessment, treatment administration, monitoring, and documentation in accordance with the nurse practice act, ensuring patient safety and comfort. The role involves team collaboration and support of interdisciplinary team members in the care of patients and their families.
Requirements
- Must have and maintain transportation to be used for work with required liability insurance and license.
- Currently licensed to practice nursing in the state where the VITAS program is located.
- At least one year of satisfactory nursing experience, at least one year of which is an LPN/LVN in a hospital on an adult medical surgical unit.
